1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. StrateForge uses cookies and equivalent technologies (e.g. your browser's local storage) to run the service, keep your session secure and — only with your consent — measure audience.
2. Cookies we use
a) Strictly necessary (no consent required)
- Authentication / session: keeping you securely signed in.
- Preferences: language, light/dark theme, and consent choice (stored locally).
- Security: abuse prevention and fraud protection.
b) Audience measurement (with consent)
- PostHog (hosted in the EU): anonymized usage statistics to improve the product. These trackers are only set after you accept through the consent banner.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
3. Managing your consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline audience-measurement cookies. Non-essential cookies are only loaded if you accept. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's cookies from your browser, which will show the banner again.
4. Retention period
Preference and consent cookies are kept for up to 13 months, after which your consent is requested again. Session cookies expire when your session ends.
